About Amaijah
For years, I struggled with the fear of being truly seen.
I hid behind safe, unremarkable outfits, afraid to express my authentic self. It wasn't until I faced this fear head-on that I discovered the liberating power of embracing my unique style. On this journey I asked myself the difficult questions about the beliefs and fears that were holding me back from the self expression that I truly desired for myself. Through this I witnessed the healing power of finding your personal style.
This journey of growth and self-discovery ignited a desire to help others find their authentic expression through style. I learned that when we align our outward appearance with our inner selves, we not only look better—we feel better, and come to know ourselves deeper and in a new light.
In 2021 I started a position at a fashion tech company working directly with our main clients, brands and designers. Through my role in this company I was exposed directly to the fashion wholesale industry’s practices. I had always been aware of the environmental impact of the industry but now I was seeing it first hand. This realization led me to focus on sustainable and thrifted fashion, proving that style and conscience can go hand in hand. Thankfully my career has also exposed me to sustainable brands and designers who are making an impact through their production practices and materials. Impact on the waste produced from the fashion industry is also in our hands too.
Having clarity, confidence and trust in your personal style is environmentally friendly. When we know what our style is we shop less, avoid trendy items that we won’t wear in a year and invest in quality pieces that will evolve with our style.
Today,
as a personal stylist, I combine my love for fashion, my experience in overcoming personal barriers, and my commitment to sustainability. My mission is to guide you on your own journey of self-expression, helping you curate a wardrobe that not only looks amazing but also aligns with your values and makes you feel authentically you.
I’m so grateful that I met Amaijah! I hope I can work with her at least once a year, if not more. I am a busy mom and small business owner, and working with Amaijah has saved me so much time. I no longer have to spend time trying to put together outfits in the morning, and I finally have staples in my wardrobe that are elevated and fit me well. She first helped me clean out my closet, then we went shopping for elevated basics. She helped me choose things I would have never picked out for myself…things that I LOVE and will wear for many years. Then, we went shopping at a consignment store which helped add fun pieces to my basics. She’s fun to be around, supportive, and inspiring. So glad I met with her and worked with her!!
